The products

What they are

The short version: one cleanses, one stays on and works.

See the Journey
What is the Recovery Lotion?

A topical lotion combining 20% USP-grade magnesium chloride with GHK-Cu, a copper tripeptide studied for skin over time. It is the leave-on treatment step in our range.

What is the magnesium there for?

Comfort after activity. People reach for topical magnesium when muscles feel worked — that is its traditional use and the one we stand behind.

What is GHK-Cu?

A naturally occurring copper tripeptide — glycine, histidine and lysine bound to copper. Your body makes it, and levels fall with age. It has been studied for skin renewal and the appearance of firmness.

What makes this different from a regular magnesium lotion?

Most magnesium lotions carry magnesium alone. Ours pairs it with GHK-Cu, so the formula does something for the skin as well as the after-effort feeling.

Can I use it on aging skin?

Yes. GHK-Cu has been studied in the context of skin renewal and the look of firmness. Expect gradual and modest change rather than a dramatic lift — and give it eight to twelve weeks before judging.

Who is it for?

Active people, anyone on their feet all day, older adults, and physiotherapists or massage therapists looking for something to recommend between appointments. Anyone after daily muscle comfort and a simple skin step.

Using them

How, where and how often

How do I use the lotion?

Apply a generous amount to clean skin and massage until absorbed. Daily, or whenever you need it.

Where can I apply it?

Arms, legs, shoulders, back, neck, feet — anywhere external that feels worked. Keep it away from your eyes and any mucous membranes.

Can I use it after a workout?

Yes — that is when most people reach for it. After a shower, onto clean warm skin, focusing on whatever took the session.

How often should I use it?

Once or twice a day suits most people. Start with once and see how your skin responds.

Can I use it before bed?

Yes. Many people make it part of winding down, and it stays on overnight.

Will it leave my skin greasy?

No. The base was built around absorption, so it sinks in rather than leaving a film.

Can I use it alongside other skincare?

Yes. It fits into an existing routine. If your skin is reactive, add one new thing at a time so you can tell what is doing what.

How do I use the Beauty Bar and Recovery Lotion together?

Bar first, lotion second. Lather the bar, massage, rinse — then apply the lotion to clean skin and leave it on. That pairing is what we call the Journey.

What to expect

Sensations, timelines and adjustments

Why does it tingle?

Magnesium salts can produce a light tingle or warmth, especially on dry or freshly shaved skin. It usually settles within a minute or two, and eases with continued use. A tingle is normal — a sharp sting is a reason to rinse off and stop.

What is the copper purge, and will I get it?

Some people notice a short adjustment when starting a copper peptide — small breakouts or a bit of sensitivity in the first week or two. It does not happen to everyone. Ease in slowly, patch test, and give it a couple of weeks. Strong or persistent irritation is a reason to stop, not to push through.

How long before I notice anything?

The after-effort comfort is immediate for most people. Anything to do with the look of the skin is slow — think months, not days, and use it consistently.

Is it suitable for all skin types?

Generally, yes. If your skin is sensitive, patch test first and start every other day rather than daily.

Safety

Limits, and who should check first

See the ingredients
Can I apply it to open wounds or broken skin?

No. External use on intact skin only. Keep it away from open wounds, cuts, broken or bleeding skin. If irritation occurs, stop using it.

Can children use it?

It is formulated for adults. Speak to a healthcare professional before using it on a child, patch test first, and discontinue if there is any irritation.

What if I am pregnant, nursing or on medication?

Check with a professional before adding any new active. We would rather you ask than guess.

Does it contain artificial fragrance?

No. We leave out synthetic fragrance and masking scents, along with sulphates, parabens, synthetic dyes, phthalates, formaldehyde donors, and mineral oil.

Is it tested for quality and purity?

Yes. Every batch is third-party tested, and our magnesium chloride and copper peptide come from suppliers who provide certificates of analysis.
