The Journey explained

Two products, two jobs, one order — and why the sequence is the part that matters.

The idea

One routine, two distinct jobs

The Journey is our name for a simple two-step routine: cleanse with the Beauty Bar, then treat with the Recovery Lotion.

That is the whole thing. The value is in keeping the two steps distinct, so each one can do its job without getting in the way of the other.

The two steps

One prepares the surface. One stays and works.

  1. Preparation

    Step one, the Beauty Bar

Its job is to clear away the day — sweat, sunscreen and grime — and leave the skin ready for what comes next. Used daily, it keeps the surface clean so the next step lands on skin that is ready for it.

A cleanser is meant to be rinsed off, so it is not where you put your leave-on actives. Think preparation, not treatment.

  2. Treatment

    Step two, the Recovery Lotion

This is where the actives live: magnesium for comfort and recovery, and the copper peptide GHK-Cu. Because you leave it on, it stays in contact with the skin instead of going down the drain.

That contact time is the point of a treatment. It is a different job from cleansing, which is why it is a different product.

Why bar first, then lotion

You cleanse before you treat

Order matters for a plain reason. Putting a leave-on treatment onto skin that still carries the day's grime traps that layer underneath, and gives the actives less clean surface to sit on.

Cleanse first, and the lotion goes onto fresh skin. Then you leave it be. The two steps are sequenced the way you would wash a plate before you dry it.

Cleanse to prepare, treat to leave on. If you remember only one thing, make it the order.

What is the PepChoice Journey?

A two-step routine: cleanse with the Beauty Bar, then treat with the Recovery Lotion. The bar prepares the skin and the lotion is the leave-on treatment with magnesium and GHK-Cu.

Why do I use the Beauty Bar before the lotion?

You cleanse before you treat. The Beauty Bar clears the day off your skin so the Recovery Lotion goes onto a fresh surface. A cleanser is rinsed off, so it is not where the leave-on actives belong.

Can I use the Recovery Lotion on its own?

Yes. The lotion works as a standalone leave-on treatment. Pairing it with the Beauty Bar cleanse just means it lands on cleaner skin, which is why we present them together as the Journey.

How much does the Journey cost?

Current prices for the bar, the lotion and the pair are listed on the shop page in CAD.

How often should I do the routine?

Most people cleanse daily and apply the lotion daily once their skin is used to it. If the lotion tingles at first, or your skin is reactive, start the leave-on step a few times a week and build up.

Is there anything I should watch for?

The lotion can tingle briefly, and some people see a short copper adjustment period when starting a copper peptide. Patch test first, and if irritation is strong or keeps worsening, stop rather than push through.

For external use on intact skin only. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Patch test before first use, and consult a professional if you are pregnant, nursing or taking medication.
